Timber Carports (Carriage House)
A carport or carriage house can be built as a standard single or two-bay. We can of course, build a custom or bespoke design to your specification if you have something in mind. Don't forget, we can take control of the complete job, right from the groundwork, to the very last fitting, or if you prefer, we can liaise with your chosen contractor and do as much or as little as you choose.
As standard our carriage sheds use the popular 'Onduline' roofing system, and are constructed using 75mm x 50mm framing and a choice of cladding from featheredge (weatherboard), T&G shiplap or T&G loglap. Front posts and support beams are 150mm x 150mm.
Joinery made casement windows and doors can be fitted as an option to any of our timber carriage sheds, along with several roofing options including, felt tiles, green mineral felt, cedar shingles, composite slate tiles, or even clay or concrete tiles (NB. The use of clay or concrete tiles substantially alters the construction of the building to accommodate the extra weight).

Along with a really chunky 200mm x 38mm Featheredge option, hardwood oak front posts and support beams are available, if your looking for that rustic barn type feel.

Our standard carports are designed to be erected on at least 1 brick course on a concrete base**. We can do this for you, contact us for a no-obligation site survey.
**Buildings subject to local council building control regulations, may need a more complex footing.

A standard size single carport measures 18' x 10' (5.4m x 3.0m), though we do make everything to order, so we can manufacture to your own specified size.
